# IBS and Psychosipocial pain model

Is it possible that the psychocial pain model is applicable to IBS? I know certain foods are triggers for me now but after dealing with my adult model I wonder this model couldn’t be helpful to alleviate some of the pain, etc. Thanks

The biopsychosocial model applies to all diseases and medical conditions. To simplify, there are biological, psychological, and social/environmental influences on your experience with and management of IBS.
