Intensity or volume for accessories

I’m doing strength 3 and I’m usually in a bit of a time crunch to complete the accessory movements. For example day 1 week 2, what I did today, I had 3 sets @rpe 7-9 of leg extensions and 4 sets @ rpe 7 of hip extensions.

To be able to complete this in the time I have should I, up the intensity and do less sets? Or lower the intensity and do the same amount af sets as prescribed? Or alternatively find some other time in the week to complete what I wasn’t able to earlier in the week? What would be the best choice, or does it really matter?

Thanks

I would consider super-setting these exercises, if possible. If not, I would take 2 minute rest periods and do the programming as described. You may use less weight at first for the RPE prescription, but you should still hit the RPE prescribed.

If that’s not suitable, doing them at a separate time would work, but possibly be annoying. I’d cut a set or two if it were me and I couldn’t superset, rest less, etc.
