I heard that this is something due to BCAAs being hydrophobic, so a good quality protein with a good amount of BCAAs shouldn’t instantly dissolve and in fact should have lumps. Meanwhile the crap proteins that are very water soluble are “lower quality” proteins that are lacking in BCAAs.
P.S. I’ve never tried Whey-Rx (although I would like to someday, but international shipping is a bitch), I have no idea how soluble the product is, so this wasn’t a post to bash on Whey-Rx. Just in case Whey-Rx is a very very soluble product. Rip Gainz-Rx
No this is not true, albumines (a type of protein found in eggs) are very soluble in water and egg albumines contain a good amount of BCAA’s. Beside that there are techniques to make powders more soluble in water. There is a process called powder Instantization, where the powder particles are coated in an emulsifier (lecithin for example) to improve solubility. For compounds that are hydrophobic a wetting agent can be added, that breaks the surface tension of the water.
Products with improved solubility are more expensive to produce, so some manufacturers may spread this myth to sell cheaper to produce protein/BCAA powders.
