I’ve been lifting for a couple of years and I lift alone in my garage. One issue that I’ve been struggling with is consistent squat depth of heavy sets when I get tired.

For example, if I do 1@8 and then 4@8 x 3 sets, my squat depth of the very last set will be erratic, very often 1-2" too high, even though it really _feels_ deep while I am squatting and the RPE still feels like an 8.

I’m already doing paused squats, pin squats and tempo squats (in Bridge 1). Their depths are fine.

1. Is this a common problem?

2. Are there strategies to overcome this?

You simply have to adjust for this in your mind and _force_ yourself to do it.

One trick I’ve used with folks is to cue them to “make each rep feel deeper than the last” when they’re under fatigue.
