Nitric Oxide causing high liver enzymes

I went to the doctor recently and they did a metabolic panel on me for no reason due to this issue. I’ve been taking nitric oxide for the past 6 months about 6 times a week and it’s really allowed me to increase my performance but my liver enzymes are really high. I also take other multivitamins and stuff but after looking around and reading studies. It has been said that nitric oxide can cause liver damage if taken for a prolonged period. Is this true? From what I was able to gather it was true but I’m also not trained to read studies. I’m trying to get an idea of what is causing it and I’ll get my metabolic panel retested in the future to see if it is still an issue. I’m also 27 with no other health issues. I’m a trained individual who has been training for the past 9 years with a waist of 33-34 inches.

Does nitric oxide cause liver damage?

My blood sugar is normal but I’m also trying to shed a few pounds. It really isn’t coming off like it normally would so can high liver enzymes cause insulin resistance and that is why the weight is not coming off?

I will post the test results below.

There are lots of examples of supplements causing a variety of different liver issues due to contaminants. That said, nitric oxide does next to nothing and and I wouldn’t recommend taking a multivitamin either.

High liver enzymes themselves don’t cause insulin resistance per se’, but high liver enzymes need to be investigated to see what’s causing it.

I can’t advise you specifically from here so no worries on the test results.
