Hello!
I’ll be going on a 1-week medical mission trip with my PA program to Haiti and had two quick questions. 1. Do you think a higher GPP training schedule for this week would prevent too much de-training? I am aware I’ll have some regardless of what I do.
2. My plan would be to do lots of bodyweight exercises and plenty of GPP during this time.
3. I’m almost 100% certain I won’t have any access to weights/barbells during this time
- Do you think bringing a few boxes of protein bars would be a practical way of maintaining minimum protein requirements?1. I’m sure my access to properly prepared protein-sources will be limited.
- I’ll be making sure to follow CDC recommendations for pre-travel vaccines/appts and food/liquid consumption while in Haiti.
