Pain behind the Big Trochanteric and Anxiety

Hi, again, guys! I am struggling with some pain in my outer right hip, just behind the Big Trochanteric which just flare up randomly while I walk like a sharp pain. It hurts for couple of seconds, while I take some more steps, then it goes away and remains like a dull ache, which is not that painful, and then it vanishes without realising it. How can I get rid of this? What can it be? I had not any trauma to it which can be correlated with this.

And one more question, which is not really related to this topic. How do you manage anxiety, stress etc.? I think I got some of these problems which really explains why I started to bite my nails 5 years ago( I am still doing it).

Sorry for any grammatical issues. I am from Romania and the grammar rules are so different between these two languages.

I hope u can give me some suggestion. Have an awesome day!

Hi VeeL,

Regarding the pain issue: what did you learn / apply from the articles we linked for you last time? How might you apply it to your current situation?

Regarding anxiety/stress: if you are having difficulty managing this on your own, we would recommend seeking out professional assistance with a therapist (and/or physician, if severe/debilitating symptoms). There are in-person and web/app-based services for psychotherapy/cognitive behavioral therapy that can teach you strategies for self-managing these symptoms.

Hi Austin,

I red both articles. I learned that more pain does not mean more harm and that the total rest for aches and pains in the gym is useless and comes with costs long-term. For the moment I have not acces to a gym(because of the lockdown) , and I cannot train. Regarding of how I would manage this situation : I am trying to take care of other factors until I will start again to train, such as stress and anxiety(that’s why I asked you about these), improving sleep quality, quit smoking (I am planning to start tomorrow), try to limit the processed food. I will train for that “50 push-ups test” so I can gain the acces to train in the gym of the Academy( their concept is that if you cannot train with your own bodyweight, you have no reason to train in the weight-room), that’s why you need to pass this test so you can try in the gym. I will start light, practicing good form and slowly build up from there.

I just remembered that the Academy has a psychologist. I should probably talk to him about all of this.
