Program support.

Hi,

I’ve been running powerbuilding 1 2nd gen 3 day full body program now for a long while and made great strength gains at 91kg my low bar squat is 200kg 1ct pause bench 160kg and deadlift conventional 230kg.

my schedule and life is now allowing me to train 4 days a week, I’ve wanted to jump to powerbuilding 2 2nd gen for a awhile to try the lower upper split.

but I want to know if this schedule works as I have to train specific days due to life commitments.

I was considering starting my week on a Friday so I could get two sessions back to back before 1 day breaks

Friday - day 1 lower

Saturday - day 2 upper

Sunday - off

Monday - day 3 lower

Tuesday - off

Wednesday - day 4 upper

Thursdays - off

hope this make sense..

I have purchased the powerbuilding 2 2nd gen and can’t wait to start, should I start with the 4 day non comp then move to 4 day comp?

or because of my specific training days am I best sticking to full body ?

thanks in advance for your help and advise.

I think the 4-day non comp for Powerbuilding 2 would be a great place to start. No need to adjust the split “style” (upper/lower vs full body) outside of personal preference. I would just run it as is, then switch to the comp version like you mentioned if you’re still enjoying it.
