Hello Barbell Medicine Team,

I have been training inconsistently for a few years. During my last program, (not yours), I injured my left rotator cuff and had two months of therapy for that. After therapy, I found your programs and have 6 more weeks on the [Shoulder Rehab template](https://www.barbellmedicine.com/shop/training-templates/rehab/shoulder-rehab-template-2/) and would like some advice on the next move.

My current numbers are:
56 years old
5’9’’
195 pounds (down from 220)
40.25 inch waist (down from 42.5)

I have the following templates to choose from:
[Beginner](https://www.barbellmedicine.com/shop/training-templates/strength/beginner-template/) and [Hypertrophy I](https://www.barbellmedicine.com/shop/training-templates/hypertrophy/hypertrophy-i-template/) (also considering [General Strength and Conditioning I](https://www.barbellmedicine.com/shop/training-templates/strength/general-strength-conditioning-template/)).

Which way should I go among those three or another recommendation? I know I need to lose some more waist size before I get back to regular training, however my weight does not bother me.

Thanks in advance.

I’d probably run the 2nd phase of the Beginner Template first, then Hypertrophy 1 or General S/C 1 (we are releasing the 2nd generation of GSC 1 this week). Biggest difference is going to be the amount of focus you want to put on strength, where GSC 1 has more than Hypertrophy 1. Either would be great and definitely amongst my top picks for this application

Thanks for the information. I will definitely start Phase II of the Beginner Template next. I will also get the new GSC I for future use.
