Training Times

When doing strength training and metabolic training (HIIT, swim, row, crossfit metcon) in the same day, what would be the ideal way to train both?
Would it be okay to do strength training a few minutes before or after the metabolic training or one strength session in the morning then a metabolic session in the evening (vice versa)?

It would be preferable to strength train first, and to do your conditioning second, and you can do them in the same session.
