# Training with Herniated Cervical (ruptured disk at neck)

Hey docs.

I have a friend who was told by a chiro that it’s dangerous to squat and deadlift with a Herniated Cervical (ruptured disk at neck). I’m assuming this is BS, but thought I’d ask for your opinions.

Unfortunately there isn’t enough information here to be able to comment on their case.

Things like what signs and symptoms they have, how this was diagnosed and managed, etc., all play a role.
