Hi.
I recently ran my standard day I eat monday to friday which is basically a vegan diet but with some whey protein in it.
I noticed that I am getting very high amounts of manganese and am getting conflicting information online.
Just to give a context of my diet in general. All is in raw weight
Monday-Friday
200g wheat germ
100g Arugula
100g Spinach
50g tomato paste
100g tomato sauce
450g frozen blueberries
50g frozen blackberries
2 kiwis
30g raw cacao (the earthyness flavour just really sits with me)
1 brazil nut
200g frozen mix of asian vegetables
100g red cabbage
100g zucchini
15g olive oil
30g pea protein
30g whey protein
200g quark
30g of a cereal made of soy
And other calories I fill in with based on how I feel is puffed rice cereal, jasmine rice, rice cakes/corn cakes.
And I noticed I am getting like 30mg of Manganese and was wondering BBM’s opinion on this since it is from food sources.
You do get a little concerned when you read about potential link to parkinsons like problems.
Saturday/Sunday is with the wife and that is random food, but no wheat germs.
