Weight loss progress and lower boundary for waist:height ratio

Hello!

I have been cutting on various BBM programmes since September last year. I’m 6ft, 30 years old, and I’ve gone from 220lbs to ~155lbs, my waist has gone from 40 inches to ~29 inches, and my blood pressure has gone from the 150s to normal (my main motivation to finally lose weight). Please see pics below of me on holiday last September vs holday last week.

My question is this: I would estimate I’m currently around ~13% bodyfat in the pics so I was considering cutting another 5-10lbs to reach 10% bodyfat so I have a buffer during my next bulk, but that would probably put my waist-to-height ratio <0.4 (below 29 inches). I think the Vital 5 document suggests against going below this ratio, so from a health perspective do you think it’s worth stopping the cut now and shifting to a lean bulk, or can I afford to continue to cutting a couple more months?

Thank you, and thanks very much for all your training/nutrition advice online!

Nice job, dude! Pretty remarkable transformation.

To your question, I don’t think getting down to 10% will help your bulk, but I also don’t think it’s dangerous for you to be that lean for a relatively short period of time. Being leaner than you are now would mostly be for personal preferences.

Awesome, thanks very much! :flexed_biceps:
