Where to go with my training from here? "Retired" Rower

First off, thanks for all of the incredible info you have put on here and on YouTube.

So my main question is what to do with my training?
Some background. I am 22 and just finished rowing for my University and am ready to go full force into strength training. I’ve been waiting a while for this. As a rower, we lift mostly during the offseason and just a bit during the season. I’ve gone from 140lbs to 166lbs over my college rowing career and have current numbers of: 250lb squat x1 205lb bench x1 and 300lb deadlift x1. However, these number have come from years of off and on weight training as we spend most of our time on the erg (rowing machine) and on the water.

So should I start back on a Novice LP program or move on from that? Certainly my numbers are novice and I am also looking to go up consistently in bodyweight over the next year. Thanks for the help!

How tall are you?

Starting with a novice program is a reasonable idea.

Im 5’11"
I figure with adding bodyweight and such novice numbers I could see benefits from a novice program

Yep, go for it.
