I’ve been told that I need to cut my caffeine consumption (by a lot). My typical intake was a good healthy scoop of Pre Jym and about a pot of coffee throughout the day. Mix in an energy drink or two plus maybe a diet coke during the day. The past few days have just been the pre jym pre workout and the withdraw symptoms have hit pretty hard. Headaches, irritability, nausea, etc. It didn’t help that I haven’t altered my 5.5 hour night’s sleep either. My question is if I continue with pre workout how will that affect the length of the withdraw symptoms or will that just leave me right on that edge and pretty much make the symptoms permanent? I have a good stock of my current pre left and will be trying periRx soon just to head that suggestion off.
Who told you to reduce your caffeine consumption, and why?
Withdrawal symptoms should resolve in a few days. If you continue with the pre-workout the symptoms will probably go away after you take it, and may or may not come back at another point during the day – impossible to predict. I can’t think of a scenario where the symptoms would become “permanent”.
