Calorie minimum?

I’ve been tracking religiously for a few months now and making pretty solid fat loss progress.

I’m currently on a “diet break” and I’m finding my maintenance calories are lower than I thought.

my question is… is there a caloric minimum you typically recommend not going below during a fat loss phase?

im currently sitting at about 180-185 and finding that 1600 calories produced a good rate of fat loss - lower than I’ve ever eaten before.

is this ok? Should you calculate a minimum based on body weight ?

There isn’t an absolute minimum to energy intake provided there’s adequate intake of essential nutrients. I would wager that 1600 Cal/day is about 500-800 Calories under your maintenance Calorie level, which is why it’s producing a substantial amount of weight loss.
