Looking forward to the next few weeks. Comp lifts get a bit more intensity while supplemental lifts stay relatively high volume. I’m training through the USSF meet in april in Omaha. The plan is to peak for a PL competition this coming July.

Got to the gym late, so didn’t have a whole lot of time to mess around and I had a nice pile of work to do. It wasn’t all that heavy ~75% of E1RM for the day, so I didn’t really have to rest long. About 3-4 minutes between sets was fine.

I’m looking for inspirations for my squat during pivot week.
dont you already do comp squat during normal training? i’m trying to find the rationale behind your choice.

I guess you could say the rationale would be that it would be a good idea to always practice your comp squat, regardless of block type. I don’ think there has been a week in the last three years that I haven’t squatted with a belt on Day 1

Now, during a pivot week the supplemental movements could change. Certainly their rep\set schemes will change.

Felt pretty strong today. E1RM’s were up on both squat and press today… Good timing as my next meet is next weekend. Although I’m training through it it would be nice to PR one lift. Maybe PR my total as well.

Related: Jordan has me pressing every training day up until the meet next Saturday. I had it in my head that I just pressed yesterday, so I would probably not be able to press as much @8 as yesterday. However, channeling my inner @Austin_Baraki I decided to put those thoughts aside, just press and let the RPE and bar speed do the talking. I hit the same weight as I did yesterday @8. It was slightly slower, but an 8 none the less.

I actually did 165 twice. The first rep I got on my toes a bit which was a bit odd. Fixed it on the second one.

I haven’t been posting GPP work though I’ve been doing it… just got a Rogue Echo at home so my wife and I can do conditioning at home.
