squats felt super heavy and dumb today… It feels like I’m not making much progress, but looking at my E1RM data it shows a general small trend upwards. It’s time like this I’m reminded of something @Jordan_Feigenbaum told me once in an email
“As far as training and motivation, I think that once you’re past your novice and early intermediate gains, you simply join the ranks of those who get to work hard and stay patient for the progress. You learn how to work hard early on in the training process, but often the patience has to come later, and it sounds like that’s where you’re at. “

Squat with belt
350x1, 350x2, 335x2x2. These were tough. I’m trying to break the behavior of feeling out the first rep on squats. I think this is a remnant from when my hips we’re super pissed off a month or so ago and they would hurt going into the bottom of the squat.
They don’t hurt anymore but this behavior lingers… it’s pretty damn frustrating because, you know, singles are pretty important in power lifting.
Has anyone else deal with this?

I’ve been kind of hyper focused on my squat the last month or so. My E1RM’s trend for the last like 30 weeks is weak. I think it has to do more with confidence than actual strength. I need to snap out of this somehow soon. I read some quotes on the Exodus strength forums that seem to put this into perspective for me
