Ecdysteroids

I’m curious to know if any of you have heard of ecdysteroids like turkesterone. There aren’t any human studies, but there are some on mammals. They behave similar to anabolic steroids, only without androgenic effects. Also, they have “a wide variety of side-effects that are deemed as healthy. Ecdysteroids can lower cholesterol and blood glucose, are seen as healthy for the liver and intestines by increasing protein synthesis rates, and may have protective effects on neural tissue.”

Just want to know if you’re excited with the potential for these in the future, and what you know about it. I’m not asking if you recommend it because this is still being studied.

Not really excited about it, as they’ve been around for quite sometime without any indication that they reliably do anything in humans.

Why haven’t they studied it in humans? All I found was one study with a small sample size.

Don’t know. You’d have to ask a researcher.
