High blood pressure

24 y/o male w/ average BP around 130/70 taken manually on myself. I’m 5’11’’ - 195 lbs. Minimal alcohol consumption (2 beers/wk).

I cut down on my sodium for the past 2ish months and still haven’t seen a significant drop in BP.

Anyways, do ya’ll have any clinical experience with patients like those in this article:

My pulse pressure approaches 70mmHg sometimes, so I wonder if I’m athletic enough to possibly have htn that is (controversially) not associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease (yes, this is wishful thinking).

I have a strong family hx of heart disease. Not asking for a diagnosis, just thoughts/experiences with ‘Spurious’ htn

I would recommend getting 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring done to guide decision making on this issue.
