Not counting calories

Hey there, i was wondering, is it possible to lose fat and/or build muscle efficiently/decently without counting calories and just eating less or more food compared to maintnance with a certain ratio? (something like 40% of the meal is high protien foods like chicken, 40% is high carb foods like rice, 20% is high fat foods like nuts and add a serving of high fiber foods) if so what is the ratio you would recommend?

If you’re asking whether or not it’s possible to consciously reduce calorie intake without explicitly counting calories, the answer is yes. Most people don’t do this well however, and it wouldn’t be my preferred methodology.
