I was almost certain I was on track to break 2 hours but just couldn’t hold my pace at the end and got a little overheated. Still a strong effort and I’m happy with the time and keeping most my strength gains.
June 5, 2018 Morning BW 199 @Work Gym in Sac
Feelings: Overall I’m feeling beat up and sore from the half marathon. Training went better than expected for bench and pulls, but squats always take a hit when I run.

I feel like I’ve lost strength, but it isn’t driven by the Bridge. I believe the Bridge actually helped me maintain during a period of time that was super hard on my body. Training for a half marathon is not a joke when it comes to strength training. I’ll be building back up from here. DL strength is still pretty high, but the squats have been difficult for some reason. And bench took a nose dive which is strange, but I’ll just keep working.

I’ll be traveling to Texas Thursday for family stuff so don’t plan on training Friday. I made W/F workouts fit into one. Not recommended because it was tough, but I did it in 2hrs5min (pretty much 3min rest on everything). And what are you going to do? Not train?
I’m starting the BBM Strength Template to hopefully see some gains before September. I’ve really been liking the extra work capacity and going to see what happens.

330 1@8 could have misgrooved because the @7 felt easy…or I’m just getting used to singles again.

I did not get into the competition I was planning on attending so I’m switching things up and following Coach Nicole’s program. I’ll be looking to drop some weight, maintain/gain strength and run with my wife.
