Docs! Especially Dr. Jordan,
Not really a question about nutrition but I took it upon myself and an excel spreadsheet to turn the “To be a Beast” article into an actionable and usable spreadsheet. Since doing that on July 1st I have been able to steadily lose .5lbs (+/-.25) per week, I’ve never felt more solid and maintained all of my strength (this last part is relative since I have been on the hypertrophy template).
I’ve never had trouble losing weight, I have always had the issue of losing weight to quickly which results in me looking like I have picked up a habit of meth instead of barbells and decided for these next 12 weeks to lose weight the BBM recommended way. Again, it’s working so thats awesome.
I guess I do have a question about how I developed the spreadsheet, so for my formulas I populate each weeks marco/calorie split based on an average weight for the previous week.
Obviously the answer to this is “if its working for you and you are meeting your goals and getting adequate protein intake its fine.”
I am wondering though, if this is (and I cringe to say it) optimal? Or would you suggest adjusting my formulas to populate the next days marco/caloric intakes based on the days weight?
(i.e. weight myself in the morning when I first wake up and have the information populate for that day)
TLDR:
Macro/calorie intake based on weekly weight averages or daily?
Thanks in advanced! Also, if you would like to see the spreadsheet I would be glad to share!
