I have a friend that is delusional and thinks I know things (bless her little heart:) and asked me about her macros, I told her I would ask and get some direction for her
Goal: to be more defined and cut
Age: 41
Female
Weight: 125
Waist: 24” (no idea about hip, cute and tiny though:)
Height: 5’5”
Currently she does cardio 5X a week consisting of uphill walking on treadmill or stairs for 30-45 min. She also does very light strength training with no more than 10 pound weights 5X a week for 30 min (think Denise Austin style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYxKgY_ak_Y).
She is a vegan
Current Macros: 150 Carb, 80-100 protein (I bet it’s more on the 80 side she refuses to think about going over 100), 25 fat, she said she is about 1400 calories however at that amount of calories and the math really does not workout with those macros so not sure what is happening on that front.
My gut is that she should be taking in a lot more macro’s, I gave her the ones from how to be a beast however she was not about the higher protein life, she is a vegan and I suspect her strength training is a different type than the population the article was intended to reach. I have discussed lifting heavier and putting basic lifts into her life however she is not on board yet, we are still working on it, she was cardio’ing for 60 min a day and got her to drop that so we are getting there:). Thing is, she is pretty thin, and I think for her to see the cut look that she wants she has to build muscle…. Thoughts on her macros?
