Currently I weigh in at 74.9kg, with a waist of 89cm and a neck of around 37-38cm, these gives me a BF% of around 21%. I’ve been dieting down from 83kg and right now I’ve hit a plateau with not much progress as I would expect recently. My diet has been a fairly “hard” cut eating around -800 from maintenance (1500) calories and even with that my weight in the past few weeks has been going up and down. Should I try a more reasonable calorie intake? I noticed in the TBAB article the numbers would have me eating about 400 calories more per day than I am now, and more the double the fat intake. Seems strange to eat more but not sure what the next step is rather than just doing the same.
What was your weight 1 month ago?
I don’t think it’s likely that you’re eating too few calories to lose weight, as this legitimately never happens.
My last four weigh ins
74.9
76.05
75.45
76.85
I weight every monday morning
Looks like you’ve lost ~ 2kg in the last month. That’s pretty good, though I would recommend weighing in daily and taking an average weight week-to-week.
Do you think a diet break may be appropriate? I had a mock meet today and my PR attempts all went quite terribly
Not necessarily. In general, I think that performance is more related to programming, motivation, and environment rather than calorie intake. What do you think?
