Hey docs!
A friend of mine pointed out to me, that there might be an addictive effect of cheese due to casein being converted to casomorphine.
I did some Google Scholar research, but couldn’t find anything solid.
BS or truth? What’s your take on it?
B-casomorphine is a peptide in cow’s milk, but this is broken down into its constituent amino acids during digestion and does not have any unique activity in humans with respect to addiction - assuming he’s insinuating there are opiod like properties…which there aren’t.
Food addiction is fairly complex, but no evidence exists for dairy products like milk or casein protein to be addictive.

I don’t know Jordan. I pawned a stereo for some poly-o last week.
Shhh, Big Dairy is watching!
