After Covid-19

Hey BBM team,

I know your going to be flooded with these type of questions but here’s mine:

I’m currently like millions of others stuck at home not able to train during this uncertain time. I was supposed to compete in my first powerlifting meet which was in April and was following strength 1 program but due to all competitions being cancelled I’m going to wait till next year and hopefully we will have seen the back of this horrible pandemic.

what is your suggestion for returning to training once the gyms are back open ? I currently am doing home workouts with limited equipment. Do you suggest I go to hypertrophy 1 or go to a strength specific program to try and regain the lost/detrained strength ?

And am I the only one feeing beat up from these home workouts ?
I suppose you get strong what you practice daily and movements I haven’t done in years I thought I would instantly be strong at them but I was rudely awoken to how untrue that was! I tried hand stand push ups like on your IG and I managed 3 but they all felt and looked like rpe 10 lol.

hope you all well during this very worrying time.

I think you’ll be able to start with whatever program you prefer, provided it builds intensity and volume over time. In other words, it starts with a low stress week and then adds volume over a series of weeks.

Also, yes! The BW training at home is no joke!
