Another Warm-Up thread

Apologies for the excessive threads about warm ups and if this question may have been already answered/is incredibly stupid.

I’ll use an example from the Bridge 1.0, Week 4, Day 3 to help frame my question:
1ct paused bench: 5 reps @6, 5 reps @7, 5 reps @8 x 5 sets

From what I gather, you warm up doing sets of 5 using roughly even weight jumps between each set, then do 5 reps @6, then 5 reps @7, then 5 reps @8 x 5 sets. To increase the RPE by 1, you add roughly 5% to the bar.

I have found that the set of 5 @7 to negatively affect my 5 @8 sets.

Question: Would it be possible to go directly from 5@6 to 5@8 x 5 sets and then finish with 5@7, so I can conserve energy for my heaviest working sets?

For example, instead of doing:
90kg x 5 @6, 95kg x 5 @7, 100kg x 5 @8 x 5 sets

Do:
90kg x 5 @6, 100kg x 5 @8 x 5 sets, 95kg x 5 @7

Thanks guys!

I will try and answer your question with a question:

Why does it matter if you bench press 97.5kg x 5 @ 8 vs 100kg x 5 @ 8, the former being lighter due to fatigue?

Also, how likely is it you will adapt to this if it’s currently fatiguing?
