Are High Calorie / Low Calorie Days Useful?

The “What I Eat In A Day” video was sick. But I have a couple of questions:

1 - What are your current calories above maintenance? (Excuse me if this was mentioned in the video)

2 - Are high calorie / low calorie days useful? (ex: Eating +500 calories on training days, and eating @ maintenance on off-days for maximizing LBM, and minimizing adipose tissue).

3 - (Training related) How likely is a (at least minimal) hypertrophy response to occur during lower-volume specialization blocks?

  1. About 300-500 ish above maintenance.

  2. I don’t think so, no- save for adherence/personal preference.

  3. Very likely, though you’re not likely to gain a bunch of muscle either :wink:
