Higher calories on training days

Hey Jordan,

Is there a noticeable benefit to consuming more calories on training days? I’m consistently eating ~217p/502c/172f. I only train 2 days a week and I’m slowly gaining weight (~258lbs). I recently realized things meed to be done more slowly with this training schedule to mitigate LBM loss and fat gain when cutting/bulking. I’m going to cut again soon was wondering if this sort of timing would make a difference.

Not if your calories are that high, no.

Is this something you’d recommend once calories on a cut a low enough to effect energy levels, is there any benefit beyond that?

I think the benefits are mostly psychological, but yes if cals were way lower I might try something like that.

I haven’t personally felt the need, but I wanted to see if I could be doing something better. Thanks for the help!
