Lean bulk/cut questions?

Hi Dr Feigenbaum and folks,

I’m a fitness/sport-science enthusiast and I have a question about lean bulking. Let’s say if I’m a male, 62kg, 12%-13% body fat, my current calories intake is 1874 (40%C - 30%P - 30%F) and want to bulk, should I increase my calorie surplus of 200kcal a day or should it be a 10% of my current calories intake (10% of 1874 kcal). Could it be applied the same to lean cutting? I do lifting several times a week. That would be great if you could suggest me any material related to it for my self-teaching, or give me some names/keywords so I can google by myself. Thank you for your time and your help.

You’re asking if you should increase calories by 200kCal vs 187kCal? I don’t think there’s any way you see a difference between the two scenarios.
