Are bananas better for pre-workout or can they be used for post-workout? I had one with oatmeal post-workout, but I am thinking the simple carbs are better pre-workout.
Bananas can be eaten at any time of the day as part of a health-promoting dietary pattern. They are not better or worse pre- or post-workout. They aren’t really “simple” carbohydrates as most people think of them, e.g. rapidly absorbing carbohydrates, because of the fiber and mineral content that slows digestion and lowers glycemic load.
Fortunately, there’s no need to try and game the system with respect to pre or post workout nutrition “hacks” because nothing makes a huge difference outside of the overall dietary pattern.
