Hi there
I had a unfortunate squatting accident on January 3rd where I ruptured both quad tendons straight off the patellas. For reference it was 250kg (550lbs), no where near my best but I am 15-20kg (33-44lbs) bodyweight lighter whether that accounts for something. I have been doing powerlifting for close to 8 years, my best total is 880kg (1940lbs) so I kind of know what I’m doing.
I had surgery 5 days after the incident and I’m now 6 weeks post op this week. I’m currently still only set to 30 degrees in my braces. No physiotherapy as of yet. I do have an appointment this week which I believe they will adjust my braces for more flexion, I’m guessing around 50-60 degrees? My knees still feel stiff and I still feel I have some slight balancing issues while standing without the support of a frame of crutches. Would you say I’m sort of on point with rehab and recovery or would you say I was behind?
Cheers
