Has anyone had any luck finding whey protein that is certified as to content, quality, etc.? There don’t appear to be any NSF-certified whey protein powders, and I’ve read that cGMP doesn’t necessarily mean very much. I’m familiar with Labdoor but uncertain if that is very reliable either. I recognize of course that BBM makes a whey, which I’m sure is great, though it’s a lot pricier than, for example, myprotien impact whey isolate, which I’ve used in the past. Interested in any others’ thoughts or findings.
Why do you think cGMP doesn’t mean much? It’s enforced by the FDA (or other government bodies in other countries), so I think it has some merit to indicate they’re manufacturing what they say they are. I’d trust it over other certs.
I think MyProtein is fine, it’s certainly wallet friendly. There’s no cGMP certification I can find but they do have LabDoor and some others. I see them sponsored at a lot of USAPL meets as well, so I assume it won’t make you fail any drug tests, lol.
I buy CanadaProtein because it’s as cheap as MyProtein but has cGMP certification, but it’s probably not a viable option to non-Canadians.
