Is it possible to contract Myalgic Encephalomyelitis via digital social contagion? What about other conditions that confound diagnosis? I watched a friend read a book about a condition and become interested in it and soon after he started behaving differently and then went to a Doctor with his new set of behaviors and got a confirmation diagnosis. I don’t know if he caught it from the book, if he had it all along or if the whole disease is made up.
