So, had a conversation with my dad about creatine the other day. He’s currently going through prostate cancer right now, so we got to talking about that. He mentioned that my older brother is experiencing some prostate-type problems (non-specific, just said “been bothering him”), and my dad was like “Man you better get off of that creatine stuff.” I was like, “Um, why’d ya say that,” to which he responded, “Man that stuff just isn’t good to take forever, or to take a lot of it.” I asked, “Why, did your doc say something about it Bc of your cancer? Bc that’s probably different for your situation.” He said his doc didn’t say anything at all. So his opinion is just based on intuition and nothing more.
Then he googled it. He gave me a livestrong article (I know I know) that claimed that creatine increased (or could increase maybe) the production of a hormone that could increase prostate size.
Have you docs any more info on this? I tried pubmed-ing it and couldn’t find anything.
