Cutting

When we are doing a cut and say eating 500 under TDEE, do we need to eat at mainlyenance (or plus 200) once a week to prevent the metabolic rate from slowing down (which would then lead to lower tdee)?

or, no need and just keep eating in a deficit? If we do need to modify then how often and eat at maintenance or a little above?

AC,

I am seeing at least half a dozen new threads from you here. Is everything okay? Are you currently training? If no, what is the most pressing thing that we can address?

We are happy to answer your questions, but many of these things have been answered in podcasts, articles, etc. that would likely be useful to you.

To this particular question:

No. Eating at maintenance or surplus 1x/wk (or any frequency) does not improve weight loss outcomes.
