I know I’ve seen you mention that your templates are developed and refined/revised based off a large data set from results of programming you have prescribed in the past, and I’ve often wondered how you collect and analyze this data set.
@teddyd made a comment a couple weeks ago that got me to re-try the RTS web based logging app, and it has me wondering if there were any possibility that you could develop some kind of partnership with Mike where you could access the data members like me are generating on his app.
I like the idea that my using his app may be expanding his data set for his work, and I would like it even more if I could do the same for you.
I suspect there may be business reasons that might make this kind of thing less attractive, but they already have a great wheel developed that fits quite well with your programming products.
Yea there’s no way we’re going to use Mike’s app or user’s data. That said, our app definitely has a lot of logging functions built into it that will continue to expand over time.
The (excellent) new website rollout took so long I’m afraid to ask how long an app will take.
Thoughts on monetization…
It would be nice if we could get the app tied to our template purchasing accounts and access templates purchased that way pre-loaded in the app (and I’m all for Apple not getting a cut of the $ I’d rather see you get). Alternately, I can see myself paying a monthly premium* for piecemeal access to chosen templates, especially if I can rehash programming used while paying the premium in the app after premium service is canceled (as if I had bought them on the website normally).
Perhaps I would pay an even higher premium to have a coach look at how things have gone with the standard programming and suggest tweaks to address what does and doesn’t seem to be working for me that I can’t identify myself.
*priced along the lines of $/week of current templates at their Black Friday prices.
We’re already in beta testing after a year of development. I don’t have a list of features handy, but definitely some good logging and programming features. I believe it’s going to be free for the app or some nominal fee.
Serack,
Yea I’m under the impression that’s what’s going to happen re: templates. I’m hopeful it opens up access to our materials for new products and new ways to interact with the community.
A month or 2 ago you asked the facebooks what we would most like to see next and I “liked” the comment someone made for the app, and wanted to link this topic but couldn’t find it.
