Dear Gurus,
I have finished a productive LP with a 405x3x5 squat, 295x5x3 bench, 185x5x3 press, and 425x1x5 deadlift. I’m also friggin’ exhausted, and am taking your advice not to continue LP simply based on intensity alone. The reasoning makes a lot of sense. At any rate, I will begin the Bridge 1.0 on Wed and am wondering if I should de-load to a certain percentage or quite simply use the RPEs you’ve given as the deload, since I’m going to be tired then as I am today, and allow myself to move back up in intensity based on the RPEs as I work through this accumulated fatigue . I’m assuming the latter, but I’m so new with RPEs (and frankly, still a bit uncomfortable given my newness to them), that I need affirmation or rejection that I’m thinking through RPE’s usage correctly.
