Early morning training.

Jordan/Austin,

Today I start the first of my 3 x 12hr weekend dayshifts. When on this shift I usually train after work but by the time I have got done with 12hrs work, I am usually quite tired and end up having sub-par workout. This morning, I decided to give training before work a go. I got up at 3am, had a quick coffee, whey iso and water with a banana and warmed up on the bike for 5mins (damn cold here in UK just now). Currently running The Bridge 3.0, Week 3, Day 3. Warming up gor Deadlifts, everything felt fine then as I guaged in on the top set it got pretty hard, pretty quick. My e1rm was some 15kg less than last week but I trained last week at a more reasonable hour. I assume this drop would be caused by the early session, CNS not quite awake, not to be worried about and carry on as normal? I will say that after the top set, the back off work went well and Floor Press and Belt Squat felt great so maybe that top set on Deadlift go everything going?

Appreciate any feedback on this

Thanks!

Yes, this is something that you can adapt to over time.

Cool, thanks Austin.

@tate1981 I recently switched to training in the morning (getting up at 4AM) when I trained at 5pm previously. The first couple weeks were rough (deadlift especially) but after a while I got used to it and started hitting the weights I expected and more. Will just take a brief adjustment period IMO.
