Just listened to new podcast and listened to the docs talk about certain people’s view that if you are not progressing or feel overwhelming fatigued, that you should just eat more. My take from the docs is that is bullshit, otherwise all us fatties would never feel wrecked. Instead of resting you would just eat pizza in between sets.
My question is on the other end of that spectrum. I know it is harder to add weight to the bar in a caloric deficit for some people, but will being in a caloric deficit cause extra fatigue, or am I just trying to sabotage myself by thinking about this?
Yea I don’t think there is reliably more fatigue generated from training during periods of caloric restriction unless the restriction is very, very high or someone nocebo’d you into thinking that.
