Are there any possible negative health effects from long term or short term usage of ephedrine/caffeine? I currently follow the standard advice of 20-25mg ephedrine and 200 mg of caffeine 3 times daily. It helps blunt my appetite a little bit which is good because I’m currently trying to slowly lose some fat. Also, from a purely anecdotal standpoint it seems to help with anxiety symptoms that I seem to have when only taking 600mg caffeine daily.
It appears to be effective at increasing metabolic rate and inducing fat loss, but yes, there are a number of potential health concerns from using ephedrine, particularly in individuals with certain underlying medical conditions. (Read more here: https://examine.com/supplements/ephedrine/ )
We would strongly advise against the long-term use of it.
