What’s the most current and accepted take on eggs and dietary cholesterol? I generally eat 3 eggs for breakfast, and then alternate the next day eating 3 servings of egg whites instead of whole eggs. Just wondering if this is cause of concern due to cholesterol, or not as long as I’m limiting saturated fat intake to less than 10% daily intake calories? I’m just confused because it seems when you go to the old Google machine, it spits out plenty of info on each side of the fence saying eggs are great to eating eggs is a surefire way to cardiovascular disease.
For most, there’s no real relationship between dietary cholesterol and serum cholesterol unless you’re a hyper-absorber or have other congenital cholesterol issues, e.g. familial hypercholesterolemia. If you’re keeping your dietary saturated fats under ~ 10%, you’re doing the right thing. Carry on.
