Evidence on technique/form and injury risk?

Hi,

I recently listened to the podcast you guys did on injury risk reduction and in it you state that proper technique is more about optimising performance but technique itself isn’t related to injury risk. I have heard this from one of my clinical educators whilst on an outpatient MSK placement as well (I’m a final year physiotherapy student).
I was wondering if you guys could cite any evidence this that I could read? (I have access to most journals through uni)
I had a search on google scholar and EBSCO under technique/form and injury risk but I couldn’t really find anything. Am I missing something or is this a conclusion you guys reached from reading lots of specific studies on various movements with injury risk (e.g. studies on valgus knees in a squat or flexed vs neutral back lifting)

Thanks for all the great content you guys put out!
Dan.

I did open a similar thread a few days before the bbm crew recorded the podcast, i guess a lot of what u are asking / looking for is answered here:
