Feeling fatigued in some posterior movements

Docs,

I’ve finished Week 5 of the Bridge 3.0 and I’ve had about a 5% decrease in my Paused Squat and Belted Deadlift. I’ve seen good gains overall but this week I’ve felt fatigued in these posterior movements. To note: I’ve been eating and sleeping mostly the same as the preceding weeks and the Squat and Paused Deadlift for Day 1 was an increase in weight.

It’s nothing major I’m sure but is it normal to feel a little fatigued by this time in the program? (I’ve noticed volume significantly reduces for the next week and ramps up again afterwards). Or am I just nocebo’ing myself somehow?

Thanks very much.

I wouldn’t pay attention to short term changes in performance (e.g. 1 week) and fatigue is definitely part of the training process. If you keep seeing a trend down over the next couple weeks you might need to adjust average intensity down to lower the fatigue a bit.

Thanks Dr. Feigenbaum! Much appreciated. Guess I’ll keep training as is for a longer period of time and see what happens.
