Depends on the context. If you’re a powerlifter nearing competition: theoretically, you should pause. If you’re a non-competitive strength trainee: pausing vs. not pausing probably won’t make a significant difference in your training outcomes.
Thanks, Alex. If I don’t pause, should I relax at the bottom? I’ve found it makes the concentric phase considerably harder.
I wouldn’t recommend that simply because I am unable to see how that would be advantageous.
