That’s not what I said exactly.
Rather, I said that when you’re gaining weight it’s not uncommon to see changes in LDL (and other lipid panel parameters). This is also true when losing weight.
In short, I don’t put much stock in a lipid panel that is performed when losing or gaining weight (to a significant degree) unless it’s corroborating evidence from a previous lipid panel or the values suggest immediate potential for harm.
