Game Changers was recently released on Netflix. BBM has taught me in many ways as an uneducated (no formal nutrition education) average Joe how to try and sift through all the information out there. Acknowledging there are biases in documentaries and it is generally not a good source of credible information, I approached it with the mindset is there anything I can take away from it that’ll be helpful. While there was lots to unpackaged in there, only two things came out for me, 1 eating more plants is probably a good thing and the other which I’m looking to fact check with Dr. Feigenbaum.
There was a statistic in there that plant based diets can reduce the likelihood of prostate cancer by 40%. I have a history of prostate cancer in my family so this stuck out to me and I’m wondering if there is any merit to this that you’ve come across in your journals, even if it’s not 40%, merit to any non zero reduced likely hood?
I don’t want to take too much of your time, but if you have watched it Jordan, I’m curious about your overall thoughts of it, mainly if you thought there was some good some bad, or all BS, or well done?
If you’ve seen it, I also can’t help but wonder if that erection study is a real thing. They sure did a good job of going after a man’s soft spot, or hard spot? Ha
Surely this doc will cause lots of controversy and social bantering and I appreciate the opportunity BBM provides for us to fact check from a credible reliable source
