I am doing the Bodybuilding template. Today I did the GPP HIIT training on a Stairmaster HIIT Rower. I did the 20s on and 140 off x 7 as prescribed. During the 20s my HR only got up to the mid 130s which is zone 4 for me. The 20s part did not feel real intense to me and the 140s rest seemed too long. Was this session still beneficial? It is my first rowing HIIT session ever.
I would go faster/harder during the 20s, but the rest periods should feel mostly complete (and long) given that they’re 5x+ the work ratio. Usually it’s 20s on, 100s off, but I can’t remember the rx for the BB template off hand.
