Hello!
I was squatting about 10 days ago and felt two pops in my back. I’m not experiencing any pain in my back, however, I’m having a lot of pain in my glute/hamstring and about 20% of my leg is numb going down to my toes. I have been stretching it and doing air squats/deadlifts and the pain is lessened briefly afterwards but comes right back. Is there anything further I should be doing?
Thanks!
Hey, sorry for the late response but how has this progressed over the last week? General recommendation would be to continue with progressive activity modified to tolerance of symptoms, which you could start with bodyweight movements as you described. The lessening of symptoms with activity is a good sign, even if brief.
Hi Mike, thanks for the response! Sorry for replying so much later but I didn’t see that anyone responded to me until now. The pain has gotten better. It still hurts pretty bad when I’m switching from sitting/standing/bending positions, or if I cough or sneeze and it feels really tight when walking to the point that I have to take shorter steps. The numbness has not subsided at all though.
